SeaDoo Sport Boat Outings Log

Posted 16 May 2005 - 08:27 PM
Model: 2005 SeaDoo Challenger 180 SCIC
Fuel Consumed: Approx...12 Gallons
Top Speed: Break-in...5000 rpm max with some quick bursts after 3 hours
Activity: Touring the lake
Hours Used: 3.0
Where: Emma Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada
When: May 16th 2005
Weather: 18 degrees Celcius or 64 degrees F - Cloudy/ Rain
Sea State: White caps, winds up to 30mph
2nd time out...Weather wasn't great but was able to add another 3 hours to break in period I opened it up a bit more after three hours, seems to be running stronger as motor loosens up and things start sealing. It handled well considering the less then favourable weather and poor lake conditions.
Check out my nearly finished cabin...I sure hope there's enough room for everyone j/k I only wish

at least you were not saddled with it for a while - the dealer which took my old boat is still trying to sell it 12 months on - now thats heart breaking if you are looking for a new one
speedster 200 - oooh - suits you sir
its good to hear that these boats sell quickly on the second hand market -

There is a demand for them always. Mine didn't make it the full 14 days it was in the newspaper.... Demand driven by testosterone....yeh but now you can get another one --- new boat mmm very exciting

bear in mind that seadoos in the uk are very rare indeed - only 4 200's were imported last year to give an example.
anyway we were crusing around carrick roads at falmouth and what did we see - another sportster
just when you think youve got something different another one comes along - and to add insult to injury it has its own private slipway and winch
i will take a picture next time
i guess they are a little more popular in the us
the speedster 200 got rave reveiws recently in a top sportsboat mag in the uk - a lot of people are now looking at jet boats in the uk - there is lots of things floating in our seas here - its not funny running thro fishing nets with a twin stern drive boat - especially when the nets can be up to five miles long!!!!!
