I have a new to me 1995 Explorer and want to know if there should be any radial play in the prop shaft where it enters the pump. I noticed some noise from the pump when idling out of the water and I removed the intake grate and can move the shaft slightly. Is this normal? If not, then I assume there's a bearing that needs to be replaced. Does this entail removing of the entire pump assembly and how big a job is that?
