Bow Cover
30 August 2005 - 08:52 PM
I'm thinking about getting a bow cover for my C-180. This past weekend the boat was almost swamped from some sudden large waves on the lake. Just wondering what people's experience may be with these and if they are likely to cut down on the amount of water that could be taken over the bow when the boat is not up on plane.
Cavitation or something else?

I have about 14 hours on my Challenger 180 and on my last outing I noticed some issue accelerating or running at 4k-5k RPM. Sounded like some type of rate limiter was engaged by the engine. The engine would sound limited for a couple of seconds and then cycle back to normal. At idle or 6k rpm no problems. I checked to see that nothing was caught up in the impeller and it is clear. Anyone have similar issues with their C-180?

Anyone know where to get one - my dealer says they are not available for sale.
Anyone have the bimini top for the C-180
22 July 2005 - 10:48 PM
I ordered the bimini top for my C-180 but it is backordered. I saw a picture on the web of a showroom C180 with bimini top and it appeared to also have a tower. The back of the bimini was attached to the tower. Does anyone have the C180 bimini? If so is the tower part of it or a separate part? I tried to find out from my dealer but could not get a straight answer, when I started talking about a tower they thought I meant the Challenger X.
Master Power Switch question
21 July 2005 - 03:42 AM
The C-180 manual says the only thing powered when the master power switch is set to OFF is the bilge pump however on my new boat all electrical is powered when OFF except the starter. Just wondering what is the case for other C-180 owners.
