I have to remember not to gripe - man am I thankfull for our "monopoly money" here in Canada.
The only gripe I can think of at the moment is that my jewel is in for its 10 hr, so for hours I have been standing in the empty spot in my garage with a vacant look and a dry wash mitt.

i paid the equivalent to $35000 here in the uk - if i was you i would write a letter to seadoo - they may send you a voucher for a free service - its worth a try - lay it on thick about how they said they would back up the deal with after sales and servicing - then left you high and dry.

$35000 Can, US or pounds?! Damn thats harsh. But then you guys are paying nearly $8 a gallon as well - true? I have spent some time in Aberdeen and I found the cost of living unbelievable. At home I pay $6 (can) for a Whopper meal then when in the UK I paid nearly 7 pounds. By my exchange I was paying the equivelant of $14 - $15. I pay $1.02 (crazy here) for a liter ($4 / gallon) of supreme.
I totally agree in the complaint to BRP \ Seadoo - its worth a try. I have had great success with GM and Honda in that approach. Ford as well, now that I think about it. I have had literally thousands $ of dealer service by approaching the manufacturer. They were however issues I could link to safety and liability but be firm, relentless and have your argument straight before you talk to them. No need to be intense but remember - nice guys pick up the tab.
If you can get a rep on your side they will make arrangments with a dealer. Cut out the middle man - dealers shouldn't care because they get paid either way. Try to remember diplomacy because its the dealer who will be wrenching your rig. Love my boat - LOVE MY BOAT hehehehehhe

They got a large piece of my mind! The only good out of the whole deal was the price , obvious now thay wanted to clear lot. $18,900 out the door with a black seadoo cover and coast guard kit. Dont know if they would have been good service center,did not know squat about boat, HERES YOUR KEYS HAVE FUN!

Nah gofast, the real good in the deal was you have an exclusive and exceptional boat - plus you got it with cover for a good price (I paid $22k + tax can. for the same). In reality, you might be thankfull that your dealer never put a wrench to your baby since they never had the honesty to tell you they were dropping the line and give you heads up to get the 10 hr. service in before they did. Service depts. such as these must be avoided like the plague as they could have found something and "chicken wired and duct taped it" to get rid of you untill they were clear. We must have all experianced how that type of service results. The hassle you will need to suffer in having your joy correctly serviced was part of the point I was trying to make in the beginning. Enjoy your boat & neighbors envy for now - I am surprised how every Sportster 4 tec, LE DI, Challenger and even RXTs on the lake slows to a crawl as they pass the house gawking at my little black missle. I have even had people come up to me in the grocery store - my 5 seconds of fame I guess. I'll take it . .

At the risk of plugging for vendors I have been poking around and at least found explosion diagrams illustrating the SCIC engine at www.xtremepowersports.com. You have to follow the links for SeaDoo OEM parts > 2004 > RXP. Same 1.5 SC & IC core though exhaust and intake routing may differ somewhat in the PWC. All I can find so far. . .

Yeah, I really did not believe we would ever have a SeaDoo / or Bombardier site offering support or contact information (except for the applaudable efforts of private owners), but since they have taken the time to construct a site marketing all thier other products - just in case I decide to trade my SCIC in on a Learjet. I had hoped that they could have made an effort such as Mercury Marine and Sea Ray have where parts diagrams / lists, specs, owners and service manuals are all available online.
Previous to my current career I had worked as a mechanic and can still hear service staff chatting and drinking coffee as they watch someone pulling out "We'll be seeing him again next month" " Did anyone check Mr. Blairs car? Hes called twice this week". Poor service is a reality and while it is nice to say we can just go elsewhere I believe most of us realize we are a distinct group and likely have only 1 or 2 dealers within a 2 hour drive.
So far my dealer appears to be a decent one though very busy - and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I don't necessarily want to be bothered servicing my rig myself but I do want to educate on what to be mindful off and have the resources to preventative maitain & diagnose myself - so my machine does not spend an entire season in the pen.
Incidentally, stevenh - not to be a smart *$ but in the instance of dealerships and regional offices I have found that if you disagree with your dealership or your warranty I have had very favorable results in the past discussing concerns with both GM and Honda.
