As a matter of fact, the same thing happened to me today. I'm right around the 5 hour mark and it made me pretty nervous. After I thought about it, I remember it happening with my '97 Sea Doo GTI as well. Something tells me it's related to irregular water flow through the jets, but that's only a wild guess. The solution has always been to give it a little extra throttle and it goes away.
Unless it happens regularly, I wouldn't worry about it.

I live in Alexandria, VA and keep my boat in Mt Vernon. About 90% of the time I am boating on the Potomac, but this year I plan to take the boat down to the Chesapeake Bay (on a calm day) and I also will be taking my boat to Lake Norman (north of Charlotte, NC) for the week of the 4th of July.
I've only had my boat out once since I bought it (two weeks ago) but this weekend is looking VERY promising for weather. It should be in the mid to upper 70s!!
I'm still looking for other jetboaters in the Washington DC area... anyone out there?

Thanks! Yes, this site was very helpful in my decision to buy a Doo sport boat. I have owned a few PWC in the past (and still own a '97 GTI) so I was familiar with them to a certain extent. I also own a Sea Ray, but that is mostly for day crusing and lounging on the river. The Doo is mostly for water sports and all-out excitement. I've only had it on the water once, so I can't wait to find another warm day to see what else it can do.congratulations on the new baot - you wont be dissapointed - on a completely unconnected note from your post - you said you purchased your boat a few weeks ago and you have been around here since june last year - was this site helpful in your decision to purchase your new doo - or have you always been a doo person?

Great choice! I have a question though... what other changes have SeaDoo made to the SCIC for the '06 model? From the reply above, it sounds like the stereo system is new. Anything else?
