Type of oil
11 August 2008 - 09:52 AM
My closest Seedoo dealer is very far away. I've always bought my oil there but it's getting harder (and more expensive)to get there. I know it's synthetic oil we use but is there anything else I need to know if I buy it at my local marine store? I have a 2004 Sportster Le Di
For sale???

begining to think SeeDoo boats are junk. Bought my Sportster LI in 2005 (it was a new 2004 model) figuring I'll take care of it & it will not cause me any problems. WRONG !!
In October, I have my dealer winterize it & tune it up so in the spring I just have to put her in the water. Two of the last 3 years I've run into the same problem. It starts ok but when I give her some gas she sputters & bucks. Run it at the lowest speed around the lake two or three times then I can gradually start giving her more gas until finally she runs alright for that day. Next day same thing. I run it through 3 or 4 full tanks of gas so I know it's not stale s from the winter months. She starts right up so I know that's not a problem.
Oh well I gotta go pull her out of the water & bring her back to the dealer. As soon as I can I'm getting rid of it & getting a real boat.

seat problem

I have a 2004 Sportster & the "spotters" seat (the one that faces backwards) has always had a problem with water under it.
It NEVER drys out. Whenever anyone sits on it they get a wet butt.
Can anything be done about this? I've looked but the seats don't seem to be removable.
Thanks.
Jim

Starting out of water

Getting ready to put the boat in the water for the year. Last year we put it in the water & she wouldn't stay running so had to take her out for servicing. Is it alright to start her out of the water? If yes then how long should I run her to make sure everything is OK?
Thanks.
Jim
Thanks.
