#21612 removing starter from 1988 seadoo sp

Anybody know how to remove starter from this machine? I have taken off the tuned pipe. Removed the 1/2" bolt from the top front of the starter. The two small nuts from the rear of the starter plus the bracket. Starter is still attached by one bolt at front of starter on the bottom. Can not get to it (little flaw in the design I believe!!) Do you have to loosen the engine mounts to attack this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Watsie50

Once the ice is out in mid July we are on Bob's Lake in Godfrey, Ontario, Canada. EH!
