Merry Christmas SDSB
Anyone getting/picking up any Christmas wish-list items for thier Doos?
For me, I've purchased an additional fixed stereo remote with an extra Y dual remote cable. Looking to install it within the next couple of weeks.

The Seabreacher

Not sure how many have seen the Seabreacher, a custom built semi-submersible PWC like watercraft using BRP's 4tec motors. Check out the video of the latest model capable of performing dolfin-like dives and jumps. It seems like a nice little craft.
I'm not sure of the price, but I've seen a couple of post on YouTube stating figures around $80K to $100K...WOW!!

She got a paddling
06 December 2014 - 12:49 AM
Since I have two boats, and only a two car garage, I'm forced to keep my 180SE dry docked at my local marina. It was the only way I could work out a deal with the wife to keep both boats.
The marina uses a mega sized "industrial" fork lift to splash/pull boats in and out if the water. Unfortunately, they don't have the ability to transfer the boat directly from drybdock to a trailer. This results in anyone who whishes to trailer thier boat to first have it placed in the water, and then maneuvered to the nearest ramp approximately 0.5 miles away.
Additionally, my marina isn't capable of winterizing my boat (not sure why). Meaning I have to trailer it and do it myself.
So here's the good part. Obvously, after winterizing my boat, I was unable to start it on the water, leaving me with only one option...paddle it.
I was initially upset on having to paddle my boat nearly a half mile back to the dry storage location. However, my marina did offer to have it towed, but I still chose to paddle it anyway. Once I got it going, the boat wasn't that difficult to keep on course, and didn't take too long to get there.
With all of that being said, I'm investing in a trolling motor with a quick connect to my second battery.
Has anyone else had to paddle their boat over some distance. If so, how far?

Best location for a 7" marine monitor?
14 November 2014 - 10:17 PM
I'm starting on the long list of winter mods to my Challenger 180SE. One of those mods includes installing a Jensen marine single din DVD player along with a Pyle 7" marine monitor. I really want to place the monitor somewhere near the passenger storage area.
Unfortunately, I just realized there isn't enough space to place the monitor in the front dash area between the passenger side windshield and the stereo storage compartment.
Has anyone else mounted a monitor on thier Challenger 180, and if so, where was it placed? I'm open to any reasonable suggestions. At the moment, I'm contemplating fabricating some type of bracket that will fixture the monitor to the windshield.
Any thoughts?
