UPDATE- 7/27/04...4 pm EST...nuttin' yet but they did call today and said that their specialist was looking at it and will advise soon....the Todd leaning posts I can have here in a day- we have a supplier in town that delivers to us twice a day...they're owned by Brunswick Corp ( Mercury Marine ) and stock a lot of Merc parts too

Thanks for the update.... letcha know about the leaning posts. Just had to replace the gear housing on the 150 Johnson so may have to hold off on any additional things...

Monday 12:30 pm EST....Talked to Lead Tech Specialist and he said he would try to locate my customer a NEW BOAT...should know more by tomorrow

Yeah very true tiggerman, this kind of scares me now. I was wanting to try to upgrade to a Speedster 200....

Not me... Im gonna run this one until the impellers fall off..... Complete boat replacement was never an option from what I have read about other hull failures. At most, the boat was split in the middle and a new hull was installed, along with anything else found to be substandard.

Monday Aug 9th 11:15 EST Talked to BRP on Friday...they've located a replacement boat for my customer in Melbourne (across the state)...a driver is picking it up today and the NEW boat should be here later today or tomorrow

w00t! Way to go.... I bet there is one happy DOO'er there... How long doo it take you guys to prep one?

The worst part is getting the sticky residue off from the shrinkwrap but after that only about an hour...add battery and fuel and program it with the laptop

Nice.... So now BRP gets the old boat back? Maybe they try to determine what went wrong......and cross fingers this one does well! What gets programmed?

The old boat went with the transport driver that dropped the new one off...I do hope they open her up to see what went wrong...When you prep a new boat for delivery , you have to program a key and run B.U.D.S - Bombardier Utility Diagnostic System...this tells us that all the systems are okay and "talking" to each other....here's a pic of BRP's next big venture
