In Topic: How much fuel is this thing supposed to use?
27 February 2012 - 09:03 PM
Thank you for the input, since this last post this boat was costing about $1000.00 a week to own. I had missing magnets on the fly wheel (how the heck would I ever diagnose that?) rotted wiring harness, bilge pump, pumping water in the hull instead of out. Mishapen fuel tank, that ended up being 7 gallons smaller than what it was supposed to be. Problem after problem after problem... The intention was to see if boating was for me or not and it would appear that it is not. Instead of giving up, I traded the Utopia and my Ducati (which sat in my livingroom for about 3 years) and bought a 2010 challenger 180 with 17 hours on it for $16,500. It also has the extended warranty until 2013. So far the dealer has replaced the guage cluster, the wiring harness and the overheat sensor, all free of charge. Also every cushion snap was torn out and that was covered too. It's not the SE, but it sure is nice having a boat that starts and does what its supposed to do.
