I have a 2007 Speedster Wake 430hp. I bought it this summer, and had an absolute blast with it. Being a typical male though, I want more power and speed out of it.
I never used a real GPS unit to clock my speed, but according the speedometer I was getting about 52 mph out of it.
Is there a business who deals with Sea Doo Sport Boat performance parts that I can contact, or a good web resource I can use to figure out what my best bang for buck parts would be.
Just off the top of my head I am thinking of upgrading to X-Chargers and a better intake system.
Also I get quite a lot of cavitation with my boat, is that a sign that my wear rings could be worn too much? Whats involved with changing those out.
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
My wife and I just purchased a 2007 Speedster Wake 430hp.
I am glad I found a site like this, basically every product I buy I immediately hunt down a good forum to join.
So far we are enjoying the boat, while I've been on the water nearly my whole life, this is the first boat I've had to call my own.
We weren't even planning to buy a boat anytime soon, but then a deal popped up on the boat of my dreams, I lowballed the guy and he went for it. Bad part is I had to buy it without being able to look at it or test it first b/c it was 12 hours away and I was having someone else pick it up for me.
First weekend out in it and everything seems fine mechanically. Only two small issues, the tower speakers aren't working, and the ballast pump is not working. From looking at the wiring diagrams I have found, these two systems look like they share the same circuit, so I am hoping there is an easy fix to get both of them operational. We used a multimeter and the pump is not getting power, and the seller swears the pump worked the last time he had it in the water.

Some issues with our boat as first time boat owners

We just purchased our first boat on Thursday, a 2007 Speedster Wake 430hp. I've been on the water my whole life but this is the first boat I've had to call my own.
So far it has been a lot of fun except for two issues.
1. The tower speakers do not work. The seller told me that they did the last time he had it out, but we couldn't get them to come on when I was inspecting the boat. I negotiated a lower price b/c of this, and he agreed to cover hardware costs for repair (but of course I can't get ahold of him now, so I have little faith in that). After going through all the wiring to the amp, and checking all fuses I can't seem to come up with an explanation other than the amp is blown. When I first started workign on it, the little red LED light on the amp was flashing, which the manual indicates the amp has gone into thermal protection, and now I have no light at all, and no sound from the tower speakers, which really bums me out.
2. I cannot get the ballast pump to fill or drain the ballast tank. When I flip the switch I get no sound or anything. We put a mutlimeter on the wiring harness going to the pump, and there is no power back there. Any places we should be checking? We checked all the fuses we could find, the ones behind the dash, and the ones near the battery behind the rear seats and they were all good.
Any help with either of these two issues would be much appreciated. I love this boat and I want to enjoy all its features!
