Thanks all for the posts. A vast array of info at the fingertips. I just purchased a 97 speedster and love it. I've had several other boats, this is my first doo. I still have a 30 foot formula. I've always wanted a jet boat, looked into turning the formula into one once for a bit over 10k but decided I'd already sunk too much cash into that one. I installed sonar, marine air, marine radio, a new head with complete waste system, stainless hotwater heater and a 3500 watt invertor on it not to mention a slew of small items, fuse box, radios, bimini, remote spotlight. The list still goes on and on. A money pit basically.

Smaller boats I've had in the past were all fishing or fish n ski.

Yes, I will fish from this 14 foot doo. Would love a small secure trolling motor setup on it but still just in the thinking stage at this point.

I hooked a 3 pounder standing on the swim deck last weekend. lol Kick off the bank every once in a while. I had already burned 3/4 tank of fuel that day.

A whole lot cheaper to stop and fish occasionally. Oh, I catch and release.
