Overheating
11 June 2006 - 09:07 AM
Was out boating yesterday and my starboard motor quite and the temp light came on. By looking at the muffler it had definently overheated. My exhaust had started to smoke a little more erlier in the day and by the end of the day when I made it back to the ramp my port engine(Only one left that was able to still run) had started smoking real bad from the exhaust. Seeing that it has four stroke motors it shouldn't smoke at all. Could this be a blown head gasket and my coolant leaking into the cylinders? I think I have the same problem on both motors, just the one died before the other did. Any thoughts?
Impeller Cleanout

I'm not a big yamaha fan, mostly cause I have an 04 speedster and love it, but I saw something pretty sweet on their boats at the boat show. On the AR 230's and maybe some of their other models they have an 8-10" diameter tube that you can remove a cap right above the impeller and remove debris without having to get underneath the boat or take it out of the water. I thought that was pretty sweet, as long as it worked well. If the Doos had something like that in my opinion they would be dang near perfect.
Speed

As a speed junkie I am just curious of the top speeds of the sea doo line up. I have an 04 speedster 200 and register about 45mph. I'd like to hear from the other models as well.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hour meter

This shows how dumb I am with boats especially Sea Doos. Can someone tell me where to find the hour meter on my 04' speedster 200?
