I just sent some pics your way.drmarvell,
Do you mind posting some pictures of your tower and pictures of the actual tower attachment to the aluminum tubes that come on all the speedsters. Or if you'd like you could email them to me at bschack413@gmail.com. It would be much appreciated.

Hello there. We bought our 2004 in September and paid $23-ish, included the bimini top, wake tower, and 7 Seadoo lifejackets. We financed ours through the dealership and payment is around $280/month. Insurance is around $50 a month. Pretty high, but we live in TX...longer season and one of the highest rates of uninsured boaters, as well as motorists.Hi,
This is my first posting here, so I hope everything works out ok. I have been reading the forum for a few months and it has been very helpful in helping me narrow down my choices. I am going to be purchasing a speedster 200, but I'm not sure what I should be paying for one.
I have recieved a quote of $23,990 for a 2004 310 hp and a 2005 310hp for $26,990. Do either of these numbers sound reasonable? They are both brand new. I feel that the 2004 should be priced lower as it has been sitting around for over 1 year. What do you feel is a good price? Is one year better than the other in terms of quality, options, handling, top speed?
I have emailed the dealer to check on 370hp, but I haven't received a response yet.
Also, what company do you use for insurance? How much is your annual premium? This is something else I need to consider before purchasing.
How about financing...is there a preferred company?
Thank you for all your help. I hope some of you write back and are able to help me out with my questions so I can make sure I can afford the boat and also that I am getting a good deal.

We've topped speed at only 51mph, but that's with the speedometer (not GPS) so it's more likely higher than that. We've done just about everything you can do on that boat...ski, wakeboard, tube, kneeboard, as well as just hanging out swimming and drinking a few beers.
We love ours....now. We did have some issues with the rough ride in the beginning, but you said you're used to jet skis, so that shouldn't be an issue for you. Frankly, it scared the heck out of me *wife raises hand*. A ballast bag in the ski locker fixed that right up, as well as adding bigger wake for wakeboarding.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong (because I'm really new to this) but from what I've read and heard, the 4-TEC's don't need to be "winterized" per say. The closed loop cooling system engines have antifreeze already. The only winterization needed is an oil change, fuel stabilizer, replacing/adding antifreeze, running the engines for 10-15 seconds to clear it out any residual water, and general maintenance. Am I wrong?I want to run my Sportster SCIC year around. I have some warm days in between freezing temperatures. I leave the boat on a lift at Lake Ozark. The Seadoo sales guy told me that as long as my collant tests out minus 20 degrees or colder. I need not worry about winterizing anything else. Is this true?

Joe Pool is great! Lots of tree-lined edges and dams for smooth water to ski and wakeboard and several coves to anchor down and swim. Not near as good as Lake Ray Roberts, but we've yet to find one that comes close. But it'll doo since it's only 20 minutes from us and Ray Roberts is close to 2 hours.we love lake ray roberts, but spend most of the time on lewisville lake cause of how close it is to us. we too have heard great things from possom kingdom and want to go next year. hows joe pool? never been to that one.
