Guys, I am new to the forum, and have looked around to see if anybody else had similar isues. I have a 2006 Islandia (2 x 155 HP) and bought the boat new. As of the last 6 months I notice white smoke in my exhaust but only if I am under power. Just idling is OK. I looked a the shop manual (Thanks to Kevin Leclair) and it shows the following
ENGINE SMOKE IN THE EXHAUST (white smoke)
1. Coolant leak
My coolant system is fine, I am not loosing any coolant
2. Intercooler leak (if so equipped)
I have no inter cooler
3. Damaged cylinder head gasket
if my cyclinder head gasket is leak and I am getting white smoke then I must also loose coolant.
4. Water ingestion (Inspect intake manifold for water infiltration.)
I suspect this is my problem
5. Valve stem seals
Same as 3, I should be loosing coolant
I have a closed cooling system, the only intake water should be for the exhaust cooling system.
Has anybody had similar symtoms? could I have a leak from the exhause cooling system in to the exhaust?
