Speedster 200 Electrical Problems
08 August 2005 - 09:59 AM
Has anyone seen/heard about a problem with the 2004 speedster 200 electrical system. In June 2004, with 11 hours on the boat, my speedster 200 completely shut down. After a few weeks the dealer in Pensacola Fl. eventually found that there was a short in the wiring harness and ordered a replacement. At some point during the installation of the new harness the dealer then discovered it was the wrong harness and had to order a newer one... After just over two months I finally got the boat back . I water tested it and it ran poorly and summer was over. In May of 2005 I took the dealer that I bought it from in Atlanta GA to have them check it out before the warranty expired. They got it running smoothly again however, after only a 5-10 hours of use, the port engine died. After putting back to the marina and trailering the boat home. I notices that even when the radio face was not attached to the radio I hear static coming from the speakers...what the F.... ????. I can't trust this boat.. It's on it's way to the shop.. Lets see if it takes another 2 months to fix this... So has anyone else had any electrical problems?
