Didn't your boat come with the M255 stereo? I didn't think that unit supports Sirius. I may be wrong, lets see what others say.Do you need to buy the Sirius module to get Sirius radio with this unit?
From the literature that came with the boat it appears it should work the way it is, although I am a bit skeptical.
Thanks.

In Topic: Speedo Accuracy?
24 August 2006 - 08:11 AM
Mine was not accurate at all. It showed approx. 15 mph too slow. You can adjust the speedo from the back. Make sure it is on setting 5, and then turn the dial ever so slightly and then test with GPS. Keep dooing this until you have the accuracy you want. Mine is about dead on up to 30 mph. I lose about 1.5 mph at WOT. Thats close enough for me. By the way, you'll need a small slotted screwdriver to adjust the speedo.I just got my Challenger 180 CS.
It is my first boat and I had a lot of fun my first weekend.
One question. I noticed that the fastest I could go on pretty calm water was 40mph. Is the speedo accurate?
Thanks guys!

My top speed is 54.4 by myself with less than half tank of gas, and smooth water. I don't drive WOT very often, but it sure is fun.So I was just woundering as I haven't broken mine in, what people are getting as a top speed (GPS not Dreamometer ) Thanks for posting...
In Topic: stress cracks on new 2006 Speedster
01 August 2006 - 04:19 PM
Josh,I have an 06 Sportster and am developing stress cracks on the floor in the cabin right up against where the cup holders meet the floor. I have only used this boat 7 days on the water. In my opinion this should not be happening. Does anyone have any insight to this? Is this something that SEADOO should fix under warranty? If anyone has any experience with this please let me know.I have a brand new 2006 Sea doo speedster jet boat and I have some small stress cracks that have developed. I only have about 1 1/2 max on the boat.. The dealer is over an 1 hr away...
I just got the right rear seat cushions and that is fixed.. I just have the other problem now..
they are less that 1 inch each.. Should I get them fixed right away or should I wait till the fall and have it done then?
Thanks
Scott
Thanks,

I have an 05 Sportster SCIC, and developed the same stress cracks last year. My dealer fixed them when I took the boat in for winterization. I picked the boat up this spring and everything looked great. Two weeks ago I noticed the stress cracks are back. We boat on a small private lake with little to no chop. No crazy driving on my part. I also saw the same problem with an 06 Sportster SCIC on another forum last week. I will address this again with my dealer when I take it in for winterization.

It looks like my boat is a slow one. I hit 53.4 mph on GPS with two adults and one small child. This is with a full tank of gas and water like glass. Are there any mods available for the boat?Let's hear from owners of Sportsters, How fast does your Sportster 4-TEC SCIC (215hp) really go? Also, add any additional info, such as the number of people in the boat, water condition, GPS or speedometer and any upgrades. Who's the fastest?
