Sorry for late reply...But sounds like you need to remove reverse bucket and nozzle and sand down the plastic spacer pieces. First, grab bucket and see how easily it moves. If it's hard to move, do above by removing the 4 bolts and sand or file spacers down evenly until rev bucket moves freely. Dangerous to be on lake until you get this done.

Is you battery fully charged? I should be since you ran it for an hr. These fuel inj. engines need good charge to run right. You may want to look at fuel delivery...elect., lift and high pressure pumps.

Charge the battery fully then check voltage under load to make sure it has 12 volts. The merc. Sportjets require exact voltage to run smoothly. I'm assuming you have a merc engine.

Sounds like you do better than the "certified" mechanics at diagnosing & fixing, so fire 'em!!!
I have same issue with yr model ....title says 01, but hull ID ends in 02. I've never taken my 01/02 X20 to a mechanic--don't trust 'em.

Your first winter project should be replacing stock aluminum grate with the 11 tine stainless steel rock grate. Very easy DIY'er, and it runs ~$200
