change a wear ring

ok i know some mechanical stuff
how can you describe this job .... change a wear ring on a sportster le 2001
easy, medium or hard or is better to forget that

the dealer charge me 60$ for part and 2 hrs of labour total for the repair at the dealer 250$ ( cdn ).

i have the shop manual for it . it's look enough easy that i could make it but i want some feedback on it . the only thing that i affraid of it's the gasket and sealer at some place

so i will appreciate if someone can told me if with a little of ackonwledge i will be able to do it.

if somebody have already make this kind of job i will appreciate to have a feedback on it

sportster pull to the right

hello everyone

when i drive at idle to about 30 mph the boat goes enough strait for me but when i increase the speed the boat pull to the right. To keep the boat in strait way i have to turn the steering wheel almost 1/4 of turn to the left . If I release the steering wheel i go to the right enough fast....

do you know if i have to adjust something somewhere ??

-ok i have read 3 or 4 topic on that and loose myself there ... TC-W3 NONE TC-W3 , SYNTHETIC NONE SYNTHETIC :unsure:

i have sportster 2001 with a 130 hp rotax presently it run with bombardier mineral oil i have 30 hrs on it

i have some somke for the first 3 minutes i guess and after that it smell just a little at idle :thumbup1:

so my question do i have to buy a tc-w3 oil or not :whistling1:

and what about synthetic is it really smokeless like they said and on the engine is it better :whistling1:

GPS unit

i project to buy a GPS but with all the model and the price ( $100 to $1000) it's hard to think that i can make the best choice

so i see that you have more experience in boating then me so i'm sure that you can suggest me a model or 2

by the way if it's possible i would like to be able to have marine and street ( by software or direct load on it ) in the same unit

maybe this question will sound simple to a lot of people but this noise has me feeling a little nervous
yesterday a have run 3 hrs and everything was nice and fun

this morning i put the boat in the water start it and let it warm enough after i go on the lake with it
idle speed was ok but when i was trying to increase the speed no power and a funny noise so i have thinking " cavitation " so i came back and remove the boat from the water at my surprise no weed nothing under the boat

so i put the boat in the water again and i still have the same noise and i was not able to increase the speed

so once in the garage i inspect under the boat ( first time i go there ) and at my big surprise nothing was there i can see the turbine it shiny and clean

so do you think the next time i will put this boat in the water it will work properly?

sorry for all the mistake in english ( it's not my first laguage )
