In Topic: 95 Speedster Oil and Gas tanks leaking?!?!

The easiest way I found to work on the engines in my 95 was to just take them out...all it takes is undoing the hoses and 4 motor mounts. Hardest part is remembering where all the hoses go...I'll put labels on them next time

The problem was the fuel filter, it looked fine, but I replaced it anyway and now it runs like new. Had it out on Lake Michigan today, only problem I had was keeping the cooler from bouncing around

Well, here's the story. Took it out today and it ran a lot better. The only problem was that I couldn't get the engine to go to full throttle. Had it running steady at about 6100, but if i tried to go any faster it was like it hit the rev limiter. Other than that it ran good. Checked the plugs and fuel filters, both are fine. Not really sure what else to do. I had the entire engine out to fix the leak so i know all the lines aren't leaking. Hope someone knows what else i can do. Thanks!!

Thanks guys, turns out the guy I bought it from didn't winterize it properly and it had a crack in the jug. It was shooting out water and then sucking water into the carbs. Got it fixed now, taking it to the lake tomorrow. Hopefully everything works now! Thanks again,
Steve
