New here, just wanted to say hello.
This might be a little unorthadox, but I havent actually crossed over and bought a seadoo boat yet. I actually figure this would be the best place to come and ask some advice. Recently I have been looking into boats and am very pleased with the style and prices on the seadoo boats.
However, I have some questions. How is the reliability on these boats? My friend has an older I/O boat that he constantly has problems with. They seem to be quick fixes but none the less. Also, if I get a used boat, are they easy to work on for someone who is a quick learner, or are they expensive and have to be taken to a boat mechanic?
I see some people actually get thier jet boats to push some large enough wake to wakesurf! I am VERY interested in this, and was wondering what the smallest boat that it could be done on (IE Sportster, Challenger, etc). Also, is it possible to put a "fat sac" ballast into the boat if I wanted to try the wakesurfing, and what would be the max amount of weight from the ballast?
I know this isnt how most people start thier "Im new threads" but I am new to buying a boat, and just want to make sure I get the right one before I spend the money!
Thanks, and Hello.
