I am in the middle of replacing the noise supressing foam in my 2005 Utopia with the 240EFI
I bought the best yacht sound supressing foam you can buy and it is heavy.
I am figuring it is 10 times better than the OEM foam that the aluminum foil peeled off of and the foam balled up before your eyes.
If anyone is interested I will let you know how it turns out when I take it out this weekend.
I sure hope it helps as it was a tremendous amount of work to strip the old foam and replace it with new.
Cost was about $300 for the foam alone 3 sheets (54x24) the main work is taking the old stuff off.

Keep an eye on Boat Trader too, you might be able to find something on there - http://boattrader.com
I have been watching all I can find on the internet, thanks Kevin.
My buddies say I am being to specific as I would really like a new 250 opti-max as power as it gets great reviews, on power, lack of smoking and fuel consumption.
If anyone has one of these 2004 Sea Doo Challeneger 2000's with the 250 opti-max I would sure like to hear what you think personally of the boat.
Thanks to all the members that have helped me out on my quest for this boat, I am still looking and I am sure somewhere I will find one with eveyone here's help.
I guess I have 3 footitus as this will be my 3rd jet boat when I find one.
I had a 13 foot Searayder with a 90hp sportjet, for 5 years then to a 16 foot seayrayder with a 175 sportjet for 5 years, now I am in the market for a 2004 Sea Doo Challenger 2000 with a 250 opti max also made by Mercury.
Getting older and fatter and need more room!
Thanks again! Yours in Jet Boating!

I will be doing a lot of travelling in Missouri over the next few weeks and will keep an eye out. This model is white with a black stripe, correct?
Thanks Stephen,
I am not sure if the strip is dark blue or black.
I appreciate your keeping an eye out foir my search.

Here is a 2000 model year, http://detroit.craig...1806386908.html
Thank you Kevin!
My thinking behind the want of a 2004 Challenger 2000 is that I like the light color of the interior, it is the last year of the Sport Jet from Mercury due to the BRP acusition of OMC.
Also I would expect a newer model would have less hours on it on average.
Thank you for looking and keep in touch if you see anything. I am sure somewhere in the US there is a 2004 Sea Doo Challenger 2000 sitting along side some road with a for sale sign on it.
I just need to know where!
Thanks again
