A fat sac is used to add weight to enhance the wake. More weight=bigger wake. Mostly used in wakeboarding. The fat sac on my boat fits in the ski locker. There is an inner tube that has four points to fill water with a pump. There is an outer bag that adds extra security in case the water leaks from the inner tube.First off let me say I don't own this boat (yet) but I am hoping ot pick up a boat next year. It may be an older Sea Doo but I am hoping to work something out for this boat.
Has anyone here used the fat sac?
How does the fat sac work?
Is it safe?
I never really thought too much about the safety aspect of a fat sac. If the bag suddenly explodes, the hull will fill with water, but it won't be enough to sink the boat. The bilge pump will do it's job and dispose the water. I don't so this happening unless you put a knife through the side of the fat sac. They are pretty durable.
Hope this helps.
And oh yeah, I can't do without it now. The wake from jet boats are nothing to brag about.
