Hello,

Just picked up a 2005 Challenger 180 with a 185 SC Rotax. Had the chance to take it out once so far... what a blast!

After reading up this forum and other site, it appears crucial to change those infamous ceramic washers on the clutch assembly of the SC. Although the boat will mainly be use for familly outings on the weekends, the low cost of replacement vs the high cost of repairs makes it a no brainer (what a lame move on the part of BRP not to get rid of them).

Anyhow, the boat is great.

Thanks to everyone for this great ressources on these boats. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as I become more familiar with my new toy.


P.S.: here's a first newbie question: the insurance cie has asked me for the engine serial number. I've looked at the Rotax, but couldn't locate anything that looks like a SN. Where would I find that information?
