Anyone with experience on higher pitch impellors than OEM?? I'd like more top speed but don't want to spend alot of money if there isn't much payoff.
Thanks,
Mark

Drive Shaft Protector Tubes
11 April 2005 - 02:56 PM
Last year, I lost both drive shaft protector tubes to a tube tow rope... sucked it up both inlets and wound around the drive shafts until the line went tight between them and the engines quit.
I'm trying to make sense of the directions, which seem to call for the tubes to be installed with the long oval hole and stop tab positioned on top. It fits nicely into place through the hull with the stop tab on the bottom... kinda seems like it was made to fit that way, but the directions and the World of Power Sports online diagram seem to show it on top.
I can only guess that the hole must be on top so that it draws water out of the protector tube instead of forcing it in. Also, looking at the diagram from World of Power Sports, it looks as though there is no longer a retaining ring for the protector tube. I wouldn't think they're needed, but my old ones had them... and I broke one.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Porpoising
08 April 2005 - 03:55 PM
Greetings from the Potomac River! I'm new to the group. I bought a 1998 Speedster last year - love it! It does porpoise extremely easily, though. Is there a solution that will get it to stay pitched a little higher?
Thanks!
