You should be okay to leave it, but I would recommend if you are going to leave it for long periods of time to get the bottom sprayed. It will help it last longer over it's lifetime.
Thanks for the reply, what do you spray the bottom with?

I'm also going to do a bit of fishing with my new 180 Challenger SE, I'm getting a friend to install a fish finder and will try to design a live well.
I also looked at the Tahoe Q5SF fish/ski boat but I liked the Seadoo better.
