The gear oil (front) gets dirty,
The stator oil is lubing a bushing only, (no gears)
if its clean and no water, drain as much as you can,
(vacuum suction can get it all out)
Then Top it up.
** Be Extra careful to use the correct fitting allen socket to remove the drain plugs,
with full depth engagement, If you damage this it is very hard to remove.
If yours is getting worn, replace it.
can get same (1/4" Pipe Cap screw) from Industrial Hose Supply Co.

The turf doesn't get too hot -- we had black on our 160 Speedster. We now have dark grey on our 180 Challenger. Both colors have been fine.
My HT order was delivered today,
Same as Orginal poster - Dark Gray molded diamond.
All spread out to straighten.
Looking forward to install.
Thanks for the Discount Kevin!

Hi just new to boating from Toronto Ontario Canada, Had a PWC in 1996 for a few years SEA-DOO SPX. very new to boating.
I just pick up a new 2009 180 Challanger SE and looking for some advice on what lake a should practice on and where do i start.
I should get a operator manual with the boat when i pick it up from the Dealer next month.
Thanks,
Demodahl
If you go to Lake Ontario your pretty safe anywhere,
you will need a Harbour lisence to cruise through Ontario Place.
Be Carefull if you go North to Georgian Bay,
there are lots of rocks. Many unmarked in what may appear as open water.
You need to stay inside channels or boat with someone who knows thier way around.
Lake simcoe is pretty safe.
Best to talk to locals where you launch.
If your not sure, follow someone.

I debated on several colors and styles, but finally decided on the dark grey molded diamond. What do you think?

Not sure to buy grey or dark grey.....
How is the Dark Grey on bare feet?
Does it get too hot?
