Hi Jim, it sounds like you have bad inner crankshaft seals, if the seals are worm the rotary shaft valve oil will leak to the cylinder

also verify or replace the rotary valve shaft seal as it will let oil into the intake manifold and eventually into the cylinder.

Hi Tom, I had a similar problem in one of my engines, in my case it was the rotary valve seal that was defective. the oil was passing from the valve shaft area into the intake valve area. so when you started it cold the accumulated oil in the intake manifold will cause the engine to smoke more than normal. also check as Jeff said the crankshaft seals as it will cause the same condition of excessive smoke

HI!

did you verifyed the fuses on the computer?, also check the fuses at the end of the red cables where it connects to the battery
check the plugs and cables on the gauges...
