I have also had my supercharger washer go out on my '06 sportster. Dealer repaired under warranty. The following year the oiler cooler also had to be replaced under warranty because the first dealer didn't do the repair correctly. Gears were all stripped up. I like to think that I treat my boat very well and do not push it. Yes, I even back off the throttle when I hit a wake from another boat. My gf was in a car accident and fractured her neck 2 years ago so I have to take it easy. Didn't stop the supercharger washer from failing. My warranty is up this year and I will be replacing the washer with a metal one now that it will be on my dime.
Didn't they replace it with with the metal one?
In Topic: new 155 speedster 150 and a few questions.

I had the dealer put in the depth gauge on my speedster and am quite happy. Read the latest Boating mag. about waxing the bottom it says wax not good.I just picked up a new 2008 155 hp speedster this last Thursday and we had a ball with it. It is a tender/toy when the big boat is too much to deal with. We took off for the first outing and headed up river and ran 80 miles by the time we got back to our marina and we ran off the 10 hours in just " 4 Days " as of this evening. I have 3 or 4 questions as follows.
Thanks in advance....
#1 Is the depth gage add on worth it and is it a good one, does it work well and at speed ???
#2 I have read the few speed tricks and will do those in time but I am looking for about 2 mph that is always there in the form of maybe an impeller change or hard parts somewhere. I am not a speed junki or I would have just bought the 255 boat but rather just wanting to mysteriously and consistantly be a couple of mph faster than a buddy. You know just enough to make him scratch his head !!!
#3 Is the solas impeller really worth anything on top end ????
#4 Thinking of pure synthetic oil in this non SC 155 hp. engine ??? ANY THOUGHTS ??
#5 RainX -vs- wax on the bottom ????

Hi guys from New Zealand,
I just imported my first seadoo boat, a 2007 c180 sc215 hp. Looking forward to lots of fun.
Cheers
Charlie
Your summer just starting, have fun as we have put our boat away for the snow ski season.
In Topic: [How-To] Towing

Are you a new sportboat owner who has questions about towing or how you tow rig will handle your sportboat. Or do you have any tips or tricks to add about towing or working on your trailer? Feel free to post up any questions or any advice you may have for others about towing.
And remember always carry a spare tire
These are the easiest boats to load and unload I've ever driven. BRP has mated a good boat with a good trailer. The only thing you need to buy for ease of trailering is a spare and a small air compressor that anyone should have in their tow vehicle anyway.
Don't forget to unplug your trailer lights before you back into the water and plug them back in when you're out of the water. This makes your bulbs last longer no matter how water tight the lamp units are.
