I had a couple electrical problems with my '99 Speedster SK when I first got it and the way I got through them was to focus on one and move to the next. Have you downloaded the manual from here? They've got the manual specifically for your Speedster. I would recommend removing fuses from various items and then trying to start to see where the short is coming from. You should also check the "airtight" box that houses your ignition coil and starter relay. I fould one of mine FULL of water when I first got it. the relay barely made contact. If you saw a lot of water coming out some could have gotten into that box. Good luck.

Would you be able to tell me the name of the "airtight" box that houses the ignition coils .. I am looking for to make easier. I am an Amatuer at the monet Also, are there two of these boxes or only one ?
