Lets try this again this time maybe properly...

There is no DESS on these it is a cap like piece attached to a coiled lanyard for a kill switch. It is simply a spring loaded switch that if you hold it all the way down and press the spring loaded button with a red rubber cover (starter switch) as long as it is in neutral it should at least turn over. As for the fuel pump the one I have is a single engine and I don't hear the fuel pump. The bilge pump if it is the stock one has three positions, off, float switch activated and turned on by the operator. With it in the float switch position if it is working properly it will come on automatically when the water lifts the float to the set level.
