Which sensors would those be? My 2000 240 EFI randomly shuts off but can be restarted and runs fine until it shuts off again. Some days it will run without incident, some days it will shut off several times.

hey dude. i had the knock sensor and cranks sensors replaced. I'm not sure what the knock sensor is but that's what the invoice stated. I haven't experienced those same symtoms where it would randomly shutoff. Mostly wouldn't start after running for a while. Then the limp home mode occurred several times. Good luck.

I would say you can take it to a mechanic who specializes in Mercury marine engines. Since SeaDoo has quit putting Mercury engines in the boats sometimes it is harder to find a reliable mechanic to work on these engines since now more of the mechanics at SeaDoo focus on the Rotax engines.

Just checking back in. Thanks for your reply. Since replacing most of the sensors, I was able to get my boat back into the water this summer with no issues. The website looks great!
