When you replaced the handle did you put any lubrication in there? Also have you check the linkage/cable that is connecting to the handle to make sure something is not too tight or going wrong there? ;)

Thank you Kevin for replying. I certainly do appreciate it.

I used the same waterproof lube that I use for my swimming pool equipment....called Lube Tube.....waterproof silicone.

The handle just screws onto a ribbed spline...I did not take anything else apart to lube it or check it, because I do not know how to get it apart.

But frankly, it does not feel like it is just tight or stuck, it feels like it is absolutely not going to move because it is at the end of it's movement range.

When the handle broke off, it broke very close to the spline, and I was not able to get it into neutral...it was then just barely past neutral.....the detent cog had not slipped into the neutral slot.

I decided not to try to turn the spline with a vice grips or anything else because I did not want to damage the notches on the spline.

How do I take it apart and check it inside the wall, and lube it there ?
