Have you tried hooking the hose up and starting it again at home since then?

Yes - I took the battery out and charged as soon as I got home - then connected up hose, 2nd battery and sure enough it fired up straight away.

Left her running for 10 minutes - stopped left for half an hour and repeated - no problems.

Before you ask - fairly certain not the battery as, to be sure, connected up a battery pack when she was in the water on Sunday without any success.

wow very sorry to hear about your troubles. i bought mine out of the water also but (knock on wood) have not had any major problems yet. one of my tach's did not work but that was because it was just unpluged. was this your first sea doo purchase? did the impeller show physical signs of damage from just looking through the jet or through the intake grate? but yeah rule of thumb that if it was sitting for an extended period of time that might be a sign of something; same applys to cars on the used car market; again really sorry to hear about your problems; have you tried contacting the seller?

Couldn't see anything obvious looking at the impeller- but yes this was my first Seadoo purchase - buying a car or a motorbike - no worries, BUT , but ,but...

The seller has offered a no liability sum - I'm sort of asking that he splits the repair (not the service part) of the bill. It was advertised in excellent condition and he must have known it was not.

It's not so unusual in this country where you can have a really rotten summer (as we did last year) for boats not to be used - but in this case the owner was now living in tenerife.

Still - lesson learnt - no one died at the world is still turning - it's just money and experience and one of those is important - the other - well it's just money.

Here you go. You'll be very happy with the Poppy cover, and it works great for towing.

Cover arrived from Poppy yesterday - just as advertised. Beautifully made and fits like a glove - in fact I couldn't get it
on to start with - until I released the ratchet(DOH) - I would recommend to anyone.

Very nice. I will try to post a pic of my boat name as well. It is the "Doo-Hickey". My last name is Hickey and the boat is well . . . you know. I found the seadoo font online and had it printed. Looks awesome. Font is called SeaDog.

It could only be one name for my Speedster - DOODLE BUG

Maybe that's an English WWII thing but I think it fits.
