Went tubing today, sure it was fun til the rope was sucked up in the impeller. Good thing my buddy brought his boat to tow me. When I got home I went under the boat to take the rope out. Has anyone had this happen while tubing. Under the boat there is an opening for the water to go through. Is there like anything that is custom made to put in that opening of the boat so the rope wont get caught down there. I tried to be careful but I wasn't aware that the rope went under the boat and went forward the boat turns off. That really was a bummer.
One thing you can use in the future is one of the rope floats. You may have seen them at the pool before they are used to seporate the shallow end from the deep end. You can slide that over your rope and tie a knot close to the back of your boat and another knot just on the backside. This will keep your rope above the water for you. simple and cheap. here is link just to make sure I was clear.
