Hi Kevin, hi all,

Would you have a little more info on the Intercooler part of this process? Everything I read is about the fact that the open loop cooling system really needs to be done as it uses fresh water to cool down. Some mechanics told me that all you have to do is run the boat without any water for a few seconds to get the water out of it, and then send 100psi of air in the hose intake for a few seconds and you're done. Is that true?

Other says to pump in some antifreeze through the hose intake until it goes out from the exhaust...

Service manual says to remove both intercooler hoses, let it drain, spray a bit of pure antifreeze in the intercooler and exhaust manifold and reconnect and you're done... which is the most complicated...

I'm just not sure what to DOO ;-) please help!

I just bought a 09 challenger 180, it is not the se so it only has speakers near the rear seats. I want to add speakers in the bow where they are in the se, my question is does anyone know if the wires for those speakers are pre run in all challengers or will i have to run new wires myself??

The wires are not pre-runned, you will have to run them. Just use a metal hanger from the inside of the glove box to the upper area of the seat on the same side of the bow, then to the holes you did for the speakers. One little thing I ran into: you might have issues with the stock Clarion unit overheating and cutting when you crank the volume now with four speakers instead of two. If you do, you'll have to run a bigger size wire for the 12v of the unit. 10 gauge or bigger will do the job. Don't ask me why, but the stock 16gauge wire doesn't provide enough power to the unit for four good speakers so the internal amp falls into protection mode... And another thing, because they are in the bow, please consider spending an extra few bucks on real good marine speakers as they will get into water pretty often. Non-marine speakers will work, but will not last very long. Polk Audio makes the MM651UM which sound awesome and are Ultra Marine so they can get soaking wet without any long term problem. In short YES you do have to winterize the 4-Tec engine. Like some people have mentioned the IC and the exaust are raw water cooled and need to be flushed with antifreeze. This is very easy to do yourself if you want to use your boat during the winter. Simply hook up a hose to your flush adapter and pump antifreeze through (with a sub or drill pump) until you get antifreeze out of the exaust. If you are storing the boat on a lift etc. where it is hard to get to the flush adapter or you do not have a pump, I suggest installing the seadoo flush kit (or any other T fitting that will fit the line). This fitting is placed in-line on the flex hose the exits the top of the stainless exaust elbow. Simplty cut the hose and install the fitting. If you flush from this location it is much easier to gravity feed the antifreeze. Just get a 3 foot hose install a funnel on one end and hook the other to your T adapter and pour your anti-freeze through while the boat is running.....hope this helps......don't ruin your boat over 10 minutes work and 2 dollars worth of antifreeze.

Can I use a hand pump to pump antifreeze through the flush adapter (like the one we use for oil change, see http://www.canadiant.....luxe+Pump.jsp) or it isn't powerful enough? And do I need to run the boat while I'm pumping it or not?

Beautifully done, mate!!! Congrats!!! However, how on the world did you get access to get the front support plates placed?! I never got to figure that out when I did my tower. I had to design it in order to make the tower receive the most amount of stress possible. I anybody wants to see a pic of it I uploaded one in a thread called homemade wakeboard tower. Cheers to everyone!!

It wasn't easy to figure out. The best way I found to do it was to remove the back of the bow seats and do one big round hole behind each with a Dremel and fiberglass bit. When I was done installing the tower, I've put some kind of a white rubber edge around the hole to give it a finish and keep a permanent access if need to tight the bolts in the future. Now all I have to do is remove the back of the seat If I need.

I kept the stock Clarions, until I find something better. The huge Clarion amp drives them fairly well, but I will probably try the Polks.

2. What size of wire did you use for both 12v and ground for the amp? 4awg?
