I have a 1998 Sea Doo Challenger 1800 with dual 787 motors. Both are having the same idle issue….I have a high idle speed of 2800 PRM and cannot get it lower. The throttle linkage is set according to the manual. It is resting on the idle speed set screw. If I back off the idle screw, the linkage will only go so far and not touch the screw. I have slackened the throttle cable and that doesn’t seem to matter….. It is going to, I presume, it’s fully retracted position. How do I get the idle speed down?
