A couple of weeks ago, I changed the fuel filters and inline oil filter. Afterwards I started it, and let it idle for about 10 min. Shut it down and put it up till the following weekend, when I took it out. Once in the water, we started away from the dock, I noticed it sounded like it was missing. Tried to get it on plane and it sputtered and died, then would not re-start. If cranked for a bit, it would fire, but not start. Now it will turn over, but not fire at all. Seems like it isnt getting any gas. I will be working on it this weekend and would like some advice on things to look for.
I will be replacing all of the spark plugs as well, but would really like to have the fuel problem fixed before I change them.
I first plan on bypassing the fuel pumps and feeding gas directly into the carbs via external tank. Should I use pre-mixed gas/oil for that? If so, what mix?
I know that I have pressure at the pick up pump. Sounds to me like the carb floats are empty.
Thanks!!

Took the Doo out for a little spin last night, and didnt really see the performance I was expecting.
Weather was a bit windy, and the lake was a bit choppy
with 4 adults only got up to about 25mph according to the speedo.
I out weigh the other 3 by at least 35-40lbs, and I only weigh 170.
at 4000rpm, we were only going about 15mph.
I am thinking that maybe the impeller may need replaced. I will be replacing the spark plugs first.
Advice is appreciated.. Thanks

New (to me) 2001 Challenger 2000 200hp

I recently purchased as used 2001 SeaDoo Challenger 2000 boat with the 200HP engine. I have never owned a jet boat before, so I've got a few questions. I am looking to learn a bit more about these boats, and set up a maintenance schedule. I am a very handy guy, able to do everything from minor to major work on almost anything that burns fossel fuels, but also know that there are things best left to the pro's.
Things to keep an eye out for (IE common problem areas)
Maintenace suggestions / requirements.
More info on the motor/drive. I cant find much on the internet, and have no manuals with the boat.
Any and all info you can give will be greatly recieved!!
