Thanks for the info. I was mainly concerned about having to rewire. Do you know if you can just plug the existing pre wired harness right into the radio. I havent installed a stereo into a vehicle since my '78 Camaro...boy those were there days...lol.

As for the installation, you shouldn't run into anything major. And yes a aftermarket car stereo system would work, but wouldn't be marine ready. As in water resistant. I actually had a JBL player in my seadoo speedster and put a waterproof cover and it work for a summer, but my suggestion would be to get a tinted cover so the sun doesn't ruin your lcd screen on your cd player.
As for marine products high end would be Sony, Jensen, Alpine, Clarion, Then there is stuff like pyle, and boss that isn't the best but for a tight budget, they make a wide viarety of products for marine applications.
I personally installed a boss cd/mp player because it came with a wired remote that I could wire up in the back.![]()
