Hello thumper,
I'm looking to convert my 4-tec trailer to a braked version.
Can you post some pics on your brake setup ?. was that standard or did you convert it yourself.
Who makes your trailer and which model ?.
Who makes the brakes ?., electric or hydraulic ?
I'm looking at dics/hydraulic setup myself, but have not figured out what is easier,
new axle or do conversion.
Thanks for the reply

There is a huge Boat show here in Toronto this weekend, the In-Water one. I was hoping they were going to show their new line-up here....guess not.
No .... that would make sense to show the lineup.
Never been there for the sept show, have you seen it ?, I'm in London, worth my while driving down ?.

Hey, I got their phone number from their web-site.
Did you also check air-hoses, no kinks or flat spots ?.
If you post your email, someone can maybe sent you some file.
In Topic: 240 EFI Engine shuts off suddenly

I have a 2002 Islandia with the 240 EFI Mercury. I have been having a problem where after about 15-20 minutes on the water from a cold start and going 30-40 mph/5,000 rpm, the engine will then suddenly shut off. I have suspected an electrical problem but it does not shut off if I wiggle the key or lanyard and if I do pull the lanyard out or turn the key it will shut off instantly but start right back up. When I have the mystery stop it takes 2 cranks usually to start it again and a few seconds for the engine then to reach idle speed. Then it works fine again until it shuts off again. Each time they then get shorter and shorter until it can not exceed 2,000 rpm without shutting off. The shut-offs are instant though and do not sputter.
I have had 2 mechanics look at it and they can not seem to pinpoint the problem. Has anyone had this same problem. Canb anyone offer any thoughts?
Hi,
Did you check the air hoses or air intake. (Check for air-hoses that collapse under power )

Hi,
I think fuel filter and injectors would be what I would check after the plugs.
I would also run some fuel injection cleaner through (unless mercury advises against it).
Sounds elementry, but have you tried gas from a different station ?.
They also have a tech support line, I've talked to them, maybe they can give you a hint of what it could be.
