Hello,
we have a problem with our challenger 2000 2001.
When we drive, everything goes fine for about 5 minutes then the engine cut-off. We are able to restart but, same thing happen over and over again. After a little investigation, we found out that there was a blown 3 amp fuse on the engine. This fuse is (when you look at the engine from the inside of the boat) on the right side. It is located just after a relay and connects to a square box with 2 wires. It has a fuel line in and a fuel line out. It looks to us that it is some kind of fuel pump or booster pump but we arent sure. I would like to know the name of that part if anyone can help or, somewhere i could look to located it.
We have replaced the fuse with another 3 amps one and didn't took long for it to blow. So we have tried with a 5 amps one to see if there was a short in the path or if the problem was with wiring or the (PUMP?) itself. We had no problem with it since, so my suspicion is that this part or the wires to it are defective wich cause an increase of current and, boom, fuse blow
If anyone can help
Thanx
