I had the same problem and it was a fried voltage regulator. This also affected the charging of the battery and we were having dead battery problems. Run the motor with a hose connected and check to see if you are getting the 14 volts at the battery and if not you most likely have a burnt regulator. Remove them both and inspect them for burnt electrical smell and replace them both if there is a problem. There maybe a recall on these so search for recalls and you may get free ones. I was able to find them cheap because they are the same but the ones I found had to be spliced in because they were not Seadoo but they were less than half the cost. I found out about the recall after the fact but did not have the bad regulators.
