#72691 Can it be fixed? Hull damage

Just figured I would post a pic of the hull after I repaired it. Yes, this is the same hull as the one shown in previous pictures. It is stronger now than original factory construction.

I'm looking to pick up another Sea Doo boat. I can get it for real cheap because the boat smashed into some rocks and did extensive damage to the bottom of the hull. I have attached pics to show the damage. The hole is about 8 inches across by 2-3 feet long. I'm not afraid to put the work in to it, but do you guys think it can be repaired?

#9391 Drive shaft leak
Posted by tiddy82 on 12 July 2007 - 10:07 AM
So I noticed that my boat is cavitating badly. I checked the driveshaft and sure enough, I can move the rubber boot back and forth on the shaft causing water to squirt into the hull. The carbon ring seems to be tight against the shaft, but not against the boot. They don't seem to be aligned together. Do I just need to replace the rubber boot or does the carbon ring need to be replaced too?
