Check the blower motor itself; bought my 99 with the blower not working; checked the fuse and it was out; promptly blew the next one I put it. Pulled the fan unit out and found it was very stiff to turn with the fingers, and the motor housing was rusty.I HAVE A 2000 CHALENGER 2000
I GOT IT THREE YEARS AGO AND THE ONLY PROBLEM THE GUY I GOT IT FROM SAID HE HAD WAS THE BLOWER FAN FUSE WOULD KEEP BLOWING THE DEALER TOLD HIM TO KEEP A 20AMP INSTEAD OF THE 7.5 IN THE BOAT, THAT HAS WORKED FINE UNTIL NOW, THE MOTOR WILL RUN FINE FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS AND SLOWLY SLOW DOWN, UNTIL IT BLOWS AFTER RUNNING ENOUGH, WHEN A NEW FUSE IS INSTALLED IT RUNS FINE AGAIN FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME, WHEN IT STARTS TO SLOW DOWN AND THE SWTICH ON THE DASH IS TURNED OFF AND THEN TURNED BACK ON THE MOTOR RUNS AT THE SAME SLOW SPEED UNTIL A NEW FUSE IS PUT IN OR UNTIL I RUN IT LONG ENOUGH TO POP IT,,,, ANY GUESS???
So I am off to buy a new one.
