I would say the 200 will ride higher in the water because it is a very deep boat. I would consider buying some other kind of boat before Id buy another challenger. My friend has a challenger and the single mercury jet in his has the same problems mine had. It just porposed all the time. I spent 500.00 on trim tabs which did help but you had to mess with them constantly to make them work. I can't believe seadoo hasn't fixed this problem. The 200 rides good no porposing. Thanks for the info. I agree on the 4 stroke engine(s). It would be noce to have a clean burning engine. I guess I have to decide whether that is worth $10,000, if I am otherwise happy with the Challenger 1800.
I am going to look at both models within the next couple of days and will decide.

Look back at early topic on the 200. I have owned both and would never go back to the challenger after owning the 200.Maybe Tim can give you some insight on this when he comes on the forums, he is one of the Speedster 200 owners on the forums here.

those bars grow on you after you see how the boat runs and handles the big waves.

I think we are comparing apples to oranges. I have a family of five.My oldest is eleven years old. I couldn't fit us all in a 160. The 160 could almost fit in the inside of the 200. If you love your 160 and don't need to get a bigger boat there is no reason other then for handling in heavy waves to buy the 200. I have rode in the 160 and it is a rocket out of the hole. Now for comparing the 200 to the challenger 1800 there is no comparison. The 200 is the top of the line family jet boat were a guy still can have performance and fun with the family. Also the 240 160 must be alot faster then the 98 with the twin 110's because my buddies can't outrun my 200.
