Hey there!
I'm an experienced boater and have owned many different styles of boats over the years. This is my first venture into anything with a jet. I picked up a re-built 2001 SeaDoo Challenger 1800 for my kids thinking it would be safer than a little 13' whaler or something similar.
I have the Merc 240 EFI engine and it takes off like a rocketship. I can get on plane in about 2 seconds!
We had a lot of fun this summer on this little boat and now I'm getting it ready to winterize.
I'd love to hear from the community on best practices for winterizing the boat. I did see a video on YouTube about pumping antifreeze into the hose water intake using a bucket and a bilge pump. I constructed a hose (and pump) for that purpose. Just wondering if there are any other good instructional videos or manuals. Am I missing any other steps? i.e. fogging the carbs, etc...
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Paul
