Hello,
What is the recommended sealant to use around the steering cable a the stern of the boat below the waterline?
The steering cable in my 2011, 210 Challenger SE has gone bad and I am replacing it. The Sea Doo shop manual (219 100 540) recommends using Loctite 5150 (silicone sealant) to seal around the cable where it goes through the hull a the stern of the boat below the waterline. Loctite does not make the 5150 sealant anymore and the site does not show a replacement for it.
So what is the recommended substitute for Loctite 5150 in this Sea Doo application?
Thanks,
Sea Doo Jim
