#80147 100 hour Super Charger Service Rebuild
Posted by grieves5481 on 23 June 2016 - 12:16 PM
I currently have 126 hrs on my 2009 150 Speedster 255HP. I would like to hit 150 Hrs before I do my service on my Super Charger. Has anyone else done the same or more? I'm open to anyone's thoughts about this.

First, you will have to stop by your BRP dealer and purchase 6 new DARTS. Part No. 293730006. Next, you will have to remove the seat by prying it off. After removing, 4 darts will have to be replaced because the old ones will probably be damaged. Now you can access the back rest from reaching inside. Should be 2 bolts you'll have to remove. Then do the same as the seat. Pry back rest off. You'll find another 2 darts also, which will require replacing.

#74673 Boat runs and moves slowly but won't accelerate?

Take a visual inspection of your impeller. Is there any obstructions? Is your impeller damaged? When your in forward, does the grates go completely in the 'up' position?

#72532 Oil Changes On Your 'Doo
Posted by grieves5481 on 03 August 2012 - 09:56 AM
I've got some important news to pass on to everyone out there. I reached my 10 hour service on my 'Doo and had it serviced by my local dealer. After completion, I picked my 'Doo up and returned home. I sat down, and went over the bill. I came across the engine oil they used and did not recognize the part no for the oil. I googled the part no. and found out they put Honda Outboard Oil in it. I returned the boat to the dealership first thing this morning and told them they put the wrong oil in it. To make a long story short. They agreed with me and said they have to order the proper oil for my boat (2012 180 Challenger), and will change sometime next week when it arrives.
Always double check the service your dealer did. I'm glad I did. Could have been an expensive mistake and damage to my SuperCharger.

#72505 Audio/ Battery Question
Posted by grieves5481 on 30 July 2012 - 10:29 PM
I used to worry also about the battery in my boat. Not anymore. I installed a Optima YellowTop battery (D31T). This battery is made for high powered electronics. You can read up on it on there website. It's expensive and also heavy but I don't worry about a dead battery anymore. I've had this battery in my 2009 150 speedster, and my new 2012 180 challenger.
If the battery is too much to purchase, you can carry a volt meter with you also to test the battery.
Yes, you will have an indicator on your dash to indicate Low Voltage. I can't remember if there is audio also.
