Can you tell me more about adjusting the ride plate? Is this something we can do at home?
I'm having a hard time talking bad about my boat, it has plenty of HP but not enough MPH.

Believe it or not, I think the boat has to running and in neutral. It is kindarediculous. I've needed mine open while trailered and from reading the owner's manual several times it's the only way. I have watched the actuator in the bilge move and stay open for ten seconds and close. I hope someone else can shed some light on this.talking about the ICS, i have a real problem with it. The damn grate wont come down when i push the button and it really makes me go mad because i have needed ir for a lot of times (obviously not with a ski rope
) This problem has made me go under the boat and take away the weeds with my hands. I read in the owners book that there is a switch in the back part of the boat. If anyone knows if this is true or knows where it is, please help me!!!! Thanks

Jeff,Hi everybody,
I am thinking about buying a 1997 Challenger. This is the fourteen footer with a single 110 hp engine. The hull and interior are in great shape, and the guy is asking $5000. Do you think this is too much money for this boat? Also, my other concern is that with only 110 hp, will this be enough power to adequately pull a skier? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That seems steep. I bought a 97 speedster, twin engine, great condition, for $5,000 in '02. If your worried about pulling power I would suggest looking for a 14' speedster. They are very fast and have plenty of skiier power.
