I bought an '05 S200 370 back in July. After passing 10 hours and having its first service, I decided to start opening it up.

With a bimini top installed but down, 3/4 tank of gas, and me and one passenger, I only managed 55.4 mph as a top speed. There was no wind, and the water was calm but not glass-smooth. My rpms showed 7,800 port and about 7,600 stbd.

Wasn't this boat supposed to hit the mid-60's with two 185-Hp engines? I can see a slight dropoff in speed for the extra weight, but 8 mph?

I would appreciate others' comments on the top speed of their boats. I'm a little bit disappointed with the top speed. Out-of-the-hole performance is fine, it's just the stop speed that I'm not happy with...

I'm selling my red 1998 Speedster 160.

I've owned it for about a year and love it. I just spent over $500 to put new wear rings and SOLAS impellers on it. It jets onto place immediately and runs toe-to-toe with my '05 S200 SC. This thing is a rocket!!!!
